ABOUT THE ARTIST, STU ROBERTSON:
Contemporary artist & humanitarian Stu.art Robertson melds graphic imagery, digital media, symbolism, and neon that speak profoundly to the viewer. Provoking confrontation of our own preconceptions and gracefully inspire the recognition of our similarities within the human condition.
Robertson’s practice has developed and refined over 30 years. His artworks hang in many established collections throughout New Zealand, North America and Europe. In recent years his profile has gained significant momentum internationally.
Creating a global conversation with a ripple effect, he draws on the phenomenal power of modern social networks and instant borderless communication that are helping breakdown the barriers of prejudges, and enable mankind to be more connected than any other time in history.
ABOUT PEACE IN 10,000 HANDS:
Inspired by the belief that art is a powerful communicator and intimately entwined with the human condition, Peace in 10,000 Hands is a global initiative to photograph an ancient symbol of peace in the hands of 10,000 people from around the world with the intent to use contemporary artwork to incite and invigorate a global conversation for peace.
All proceeds raised from the sale of artworks, merchandise, and publications goes towards our goal of raising $100M to support charities, foundations and NGOs focused on furthering peace through youth education, safety, and climate action.
